PORT ANGELES — Electronic “Ravens” join hungry raptors, their eyes fixed on the flowing water below, as they swoop over the Elwha River this week. The 4½-foot-wide aircraft, resembling radio-controlled airplanes, are steered by researchers on the ground. They took flight Monday, continued Tuesday and will be in the air today.
San Clemente Dam Removal Meetings Set Today at Cachagua General Store

California American Water will host the first of four planned community meetings in Cachagua to discuss the San Clemente Dam removal project Tuesday. Tuesday’s sessions, set for noon and 6 p.m. at the Cachagua General Store, are designed for Cachagua residents to discuss the project and share their comments and concerns about its impact on the area.
